About me

I am a reader by choice and translator by passion.

After obtaining my degree in translation in 1994, I worked for several translation agencies until I finally fulfilled my dream to work in the publishing industry.

I have translated fiction for the past twenty years but in the last few years, I have specialized in the translation of romance novels (published in Italy by NewtonCompton Editori).

Along the way, I have built strong relationships with some of the authors I have translated. Connecting and interacting with authors, discussing possible translation issues that arise from cultural and linguistic differences, making sure they are happy with the rendering of wordplays or slang terms, is extremely fulfilling.

When I’m not working or walking the dog, you’ll find me curled up on the sofa with a book on my lap and a coffee mug in my hand.
